The Chief of Army Staff storms river state (COAS), Lt Gen Ibrahim Attahiru who is in Rivers State on an operational visit of Units under the 6th division of the Nigerian Army was today received at the Executive Chamber of the Rivers State Government House.

Gov Nyesom Wike I shared with them on the need to maintain the professionalism of our Army as the Nigerian Army is a highly respected organization that ought to be separated from partisan politics.

I urged the Chief of Army Staff to restore respect to the Army and make a difference by ensuring the Army under his watch focuses on its core mandate of protecting the territorial integrity of the Nation and securing its citizens.
